BLOCK IN DOWNTOWN LAFAYETTE EYED FOR CARRYOUT DRINKS
A block of Upper Main Street in downtown Lafayette is setting up to be the first in the city to allow customers to buy beer, wine and mixed drinks and carry them outside restaurants and bars.
The Lafayette City Council on Monday will consider taking the first step to make the 1000 block of Main Street – home to East End Grill, Ripple & Company and The Cellar Wine Bistro – what a recent state law calls a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.
