A COUPLE OF NEAR CAMPUS DEVELOPMENTS
A pair of near-campus planned developments – one just behind Chauncey Hill Mall, the other the relocation of the oldest student ministry at Purdue – will head for zoning approval this summer, based on presentations Tuesday to West Lafayette and Purdue’s Joint Board.
Here’s a look at both, as presented during a quarterly meeting of the Joint Board, a nonvoting checkpoint set up by the city and university.
The Standard at West Lafayette: Athens, Georgia-based developer Landmark Properties plan to build a 13-story apartment project that would go along Wood Street, just behind Chauncey Hill Mall and a few blocks from Purdue’s campus. The project would have up to 700 beds in space where five smaller apartment buildings stand and next to the 10-story Campus Edge apartment building, at the corner of Pierce and Wood streets.
