ANOTHER STATE STREET HIGH-RISE CLEARS APC, AMID DOUBTS FROM WL CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
Shadows of trouble showed Wednesday night for a 15-story high-rise proposal along State Street in West Lafayette, several blocks from the edge of Purdue’s campus.
Chauncey Annex, a mixed-use project Texas-based LV Collective is working to build at the northeast corner of State Street and Chauncey Avenue, will go to the West Lafayette City Council Nov. 3 with an 11-4 vote recommending approval from the Area Plan Commission.

Larry Leverenz, West Lafayette City Council’s president, and council member Kathy Parker each voted to recommend denial of the project with 290 units, a maximum of 828 beds and 5,550-square-feet of ground-floor commercial space on a footprint of 0.8 acres.
