I've been carefully reading the Q&As that have been posted, and some of the answers are so disheartening. Our nation is built on immigration. The fear mongering over the southern border is dehumanizing people. Taking away people's right to abortion has cost people their lives, and the lives of their children. Expanded Healthcare coverage has saved lives! Making more people eligible for coverage has reduced Healthcare debt. When will humanity and sanity mean more in politics that hatred and greed?

We must vote for the Democrats in every congressional district to win back the majority in the House. Without control in the House and Senate nothing will be accomplished to improve our lives and our precious democracy!

Reading Jim Bairds Q&A, I could imagine seeing trump pulling the strings and what to say. It’s obvious Baird will not work for all Americans. Just MAGA.

What is more disheartening to me is that Mr. Baird sacrificed for our country but followed the orders of the Orange Con Man to try to overthrow a legal election. For that alone, he should not be allowed to hold office. But once again, with all apologies to Mr. Holder and Ms. Groff, the opposition has zero chance of winning. The Democrats and the Libertarians need to start recruiting qualified, capable candidates immediately for 2026. And don't just pick the first two to raise their hands in a committee meeting.

From the attached article:

“Indiana Rep. Jim Baird, R-4th, received the third highest reimbursement — $41,549 — of any member of the House. Most of this reimbursement, $29,875, was allocated for lodging, while the remaining $11,674 covered meals and incidentals.

Baird’s office did not respond to multiple requests for comment on these reimbursements.

Baird spent $9,790 more than the next highest-reimbursed Indiana representative, Republican Larry Bucshon, R-8th, who received a total of $31,759. Bucshon received almost $14,000 more than the typical reimbursement.“
