Civil suit against ex-golf pro in fatal crash will stay in Tippecanoe Co.

Change of venue denied in one of two civil suits against Brent Wills. Plus, local bans on puppy mills about to be wiped out. And more formal blowback on LEAP pipeline

A few things heading into this morning …

JUDGE: CIVIL LAWSUIT IN FATAL CRASH WILL STAY IN TIPPECANOE COUNTY

Tippecanoe Circuit Judge Sean Persin has denied a change of venue request in one of two civil lawsuits filed against Brent Wills, a former golf pro who was behind the wheel in a Sept. 18 crash that killed two and severerly injured another.

Wills, the former golf pro at Coyote Crossing Golf Club north of West Lafayette, had asked for a change of venue in a civil lawsuit filed by the family of Kimberly Burge, one of two people killed in the crash at U.S. 52 and County Road 400 West.
