COUNTY JOINS LAFAYETTE, DECLARES RACISM A PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS: With full-on applause from the county’s Human Relations Commission Tuesday morning, Tippecanoe County commissioners became the second body in Greater Lafayette to declare racism as a public health crisis.

The county commissioners voted 3-0 with no real discussion or hesitation on a resolution recommended by the Human Relations Commission, backed by the Tippecanoe County Health Board and approved June 6 by the Lafayette City Council. West Lafayette is expected to follow suit soon.
