A single vote left in Parke County went state Deery’s way Wednesday morning, giving him a 3-vote advantage over Republican challenger Paula Copenhaver with just 2 outstanding provisional ballots left.
And to just call it, any recount requested by Paula won’t be paid by her but by the same external forces who propped up her campaign from the beginning. And when she is eventually declared the looser they will drop her back into obscurity.
More than likely her initial assertion that when the Provisional Votes were counted, she would win, was based on the fact the majority of them seemed to be from her home county. However, most of them were thrown out.
This is the danger of declaring a win before everything is counted. She didn’t learn from Trump, but she won’t be the last person to not learn anything from him.
And TBF - Deery (whom I voted for, also shouldn’t have declared victory either).
More likely that was just the usual MAGA approach of bluster and swagger, she learned from her president that regardless of whether you win or lose you always claim that you win. As it goes for her here, so it'll go for her guy in the Strait of Hormuz.
