DELPHI READY TO DEDICATE REMADE MONON HIGH BRIDGE TRAIL
The renovated Monon High Bridge Trail, a picturesque, 1.5-mile stretch that played a central role in one of Delphi’s darkest days, will be dedicated Wednesday after more than $1 million went into improving the community trail and making an old rail bridge safer to access.
Much of the work was done in 2022 on a project that combined efforts by the city, Indiana Landmarks and the state’s Next Level Trails program, though parts continued into this year

“Frankly, I think the whole trail is stunning,” Delphi Mayor Anita Werling said Friday. “The project took longer than expected with COVID interruptions and increases in construction costs post COVID. The end result is certainly worth the headaches.”
