Expectations high for new WL schools superintendent, from all sides

Introduced Monday night as West Lafayette superintendent, coming with glowing expectations but also some level of dissent in a 6-1 board vote, Shawn Greiner said he’d been following the often agitated conversation in the closing weeks of a four-month West Side search that led to his hiring.

Greiner, who has been superintendent at Southmont Schools 35 miles south of West Lafayette for the past nine years, alluded to it in his opening words to his new school community.
