As John Dennis heads into the last of his 16 years as West Lafayette mayor, Gov. Eric Holcomb paused Monday to give him a Sagamore of the Wabash, among the highest honors the governor can give an Indiana resident.
The moment came at the end of a 45-minute Q&A session at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds, where Holcomb had interviewed Dennis, Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski and Tippecanoe County Commissioner Tracy Brown, holding them up as models of cooperation and leadership in the state.
