Greased watermelons and all: More scenes from the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair
Greased watermelons. Pie eating contests. Livestock shows. Based in Lafayette correspondent Vincent Walter hit the fairgrounds this week for this gallery of photos from the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair.
With the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair in its waning moments – two days left, including today’s auction and a couple of nights of rides – Lafayette photographer Vincent Walter took in more of the fairgrounds to get more scenes of the fair. Here’s some of what he found.

The 2023 Tippecanoe County Fair Supreme Showmanship champion, Skylar Sheets, embraces Kimber Stettenbenz, who traveled for Louisville, Kentucky, to watch her "show buddy" win Thursday night. Skylar is Kimber's mentor in showmanship competition training. Skyler is a sophomore at Faith Christian High School in Lafayette.
