No arrests reported in connection with Sunday afternoon shooting at judge’s Lafayette home. Plus, Lafayette man arrested Sunday for threats against police ordered to be held with no bond.
I'm so over all the secrecy in law enforcement. Explain to me why they have not released any information about the shooter? Is the public in danger? How do we know? Why isn't there a public "manhunt" for the shooter? Anyone with scanner access knows they saw the shooter on the doorbell camera. And that the shooter discarded multiple items as they were fleeing including a hat, scarf, and a gun. And that they likely know the suspects vehicle bc they were chasing it around town right after the shooting. It seems very likely they know who the shooter is. "But they don't want the shooter to know they're onto them" - BS. Everyone knows most houses have doorbell camera's and that FLOCK tracks our every move. The shooter knows police likely have id him. And then, randomly, a man is arrested for threatening to kill law enforcement officers, with a gun, just hours later - but it's not connected?
And since I'm already on a rant here - what about the man found in his vehicle on the west side? The vehicle was still running, in the middle of the road, a decently busy road btw, and he had a gsw to the head. Do people do that to themselves in their vehicles? Sure. But in the middle of the rode as they're actively driving?! How do they know it wasn't a road rage incident? Why hasn't the news covered it at all?
