LAFAYETTE VOTES TO ‘VEHEMENTLY’ OPPOSE IEDC PIPELINE PLAN
The Lafayette City Council added its formal opposition to a growing list of governmental bodies teeing off on an Indiana Economic Development Corp. study into possibly pumping along the Wabash River in Tippecanoe County and sending tens of millions of gallons of groundwater daily to the massive LEAP industrial district being developed in Boone County.
“We’re in for a long battle,” Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski said after the council’s unanimous vote Monday evening.
