Interesting moment after Monday night’s LSC school board meeting. Chuck Hockema, a new board member elected on an anti-woke platform, asked his critics to stick around after a meeting that opened – again – with a round of public comment intended to call out his comments about LGTBQ presence in Lafayette schools.
“You’re spending a lot of time chopping me to pieces,” Hockema told about a dozen parents and community members at the back of the Hiatt Administration Center conference room.
