"“I am calling a special legislative session to protect Hoosiers from efforts in other states that seek to diminish their voice in Washington and ensure their representation in Congress is fair,” Braun said in a statement Monday morning."

Oh no. That's an out-and-out lie. All he wants to "protect" is his status with president felon. If it weren't for that man messing with the legal redistricting process, we wouldn't even be talking about this. What Braun wants to do is disenfranchise even more Democrats.

Thanks for covering this with links to other resources. Gov Braun has repeatedly shown a lack of transparency, lies and corruption for power to be his MO. He is still bitter Bernie Sanders filled an outdoor Amphitheater while Braun could barely fill an air conditioned room on campus one August day when running for US Senate. Braun's actions to quell and control student journalists at IU and Purdue completely exemplifies what he is about.

Thank you for the link. Senator Alting knows politely how I feel. I urge others to do the same but with rational messages.

Yes, considering his past behavior, I think this should be approached as an "are you okay" message rather than condemnation. It is out of character for him, in my opinion.

Not surprising they do not see the irony of their actions silencing the democrats who live in their state. 100% of all electoral votes is galling enough.

I'm now suspecting he was threatened with Republican monies being shifted to his more radical opponent. Maybe because I've never craved power, I don't understand why Sen. Alting wouldn't put up a fight or bring this tactic to light publicly.

Reasonable, but it just seems hard for me to believe he would be intimidated by money alone. Surely he could win a primary on momentum. Unless Orange Julius Caesar himself comes to town.

Right on. And thank him for his courageous stands in the past.

If his real answer is "no," he might repeat that BS about the shutdown, the equivalent of blinking twice.
