FIRST MONDAY ROLL CALL: NEW $200M HOSPITAL ZONING, AFFORDABLE HOUSING INCENTIVES, A CITY COUNCIL LETTER ON ICE
A couple of things looking ahead to the first Monday in February, which, of course, is tomorrow …
Tippecanoe County commissioners
Commissioners will consider a joint agreement that would more closely align human relations commissions in the county and the two cities to investigate complaints of discrimination.
Under a proposal going to commissioners Monday morning, the three human relations commissions would continue to operate according to resolutions and ordinances in Lafayette, West Lafayette and Tippecanoe County. But the three would have representatives meet regularly to handle situations that include overlapping jurisdictions. The joint effort also would take in planning for outreach and community education events.
