‘NO KINGS’ SPREADS OUT WITH PROGRESSIVE REMINDER TO VOTE EARLY
Taking a place along Sagamore Parkway, just west of Soldiers Home Road in West Lafayette, with dozens of others during one of Saturday’s nationwide “No Kings” rallies, Kathy Singleton was tracking pictures and updates sent from friends holding signs up to passing drivers at other Greater Lafayette intersections and in other cities.

“You feel like part of something bigger – like something’s happening, something’s changing,” Singleton, who lives west of West Lafayette, said. “I sort of miss the marches at the last No Kings. Being shoulder-to-shoulder, literally, and all that. … But this is what I’ve been telling people every day, anyway, trying to get them out to vote early so they don’t miss having their say.”
Saturday’s No Kings events in Greater Lafayette were among thousands of get-out-the-vote rallies pulled together two weeks before the Nov. 3 elections by progressive organizations across the country as pushback against President Donald Trump White House-era policies and actions.
