Parkview Health’s $200M hospital plans in West Lafayette advance
Fort Wayne-based company plans to open hospital by 2028. Neighbor questions whether recent plans for hospitals in West Lafayette are for the public or the $3.87B SK hynix chip facility.
Plans advanced Wednesday in what could be a race to be the first full-scale hospital in West Lafayette, as Fort Wayne-based Parkview Health found unanimous support from the Area Plan Commission to rezone land in the Purdue Research Park for a $200 million, 153,000-square-foot facility.
Parkview Health announced in 2025 that it planned to expand into the West Lafayette market, settling into a proposed 26-acre site north of Kalberer Road and west of Yeager Road. A preliminary site plan shown Thursday included entrances from Kalberer Road to the south and Endeavour Drive to the north.
If the rezoning from heavy industrial to medical research uses is finalized by the West Lafayette City Council on Feb. 2, Parkview Health’s hospital would be about a mile south of one IU Health Arnett has planned near the corner of Yeager Road and County Road 500 North.
