We really don't need a local "Micah Beckwith".

We really don't need an anywhere Beckwith. Indeed, we'd all be better off without him anywhere government.

Gerrymandering puts too much power in the hands of primary voters, and the result is always extremism. Hopefully Alting fends off this guy.

Bagsby is as bad as his dear friend Beckwith. Neither should be allowed any say in our government. Hopefully voters have learned that these guys only want to control them with there radical edicts, and will do nothing to make our citizens’ lives better in any way!

Measly property tax rebates for homeowners is taking away much needed funds from our schools. Giving us a bigger tax cut will devastate them.

Republicans apparently hate public schools.

I generally agree but there will be a spectrum of outcomes. WL has handled a funding gap for some time with referendum funds. That gap is now bigger, true, but it will likely be covered by the WL voter. (Can we prevent spending on vouchers? Isn't that "local control"?) Results: higher local taxes for rich blue areas, worse schools in rural areas, catastrophe in urban schools.

What kind of nightmare is this?

"Bagsby said he had issues with Alting’s vote in 2022 against Senate Bill 1, Indiana’s near-total ban on abortion, and his takes on LGBTQ issues, including a vote against a 2022 bill that aimed to ban transgender athletes from participating in girls sports." Well, that tells me all I need to know about him. If I have to vote for a Republican to keep someone like this out of office, I'll hold my nose and do it.

Sen. Alting approaches his representation of our district with what I feel is common sense. He is plenty conservative and made excellent points in his stance on abortion and transgender athletes.

It is common sense that trans (boy to girl) should not be eligible to play girls sports. There is a law in place for that already so no need to re-hash that.

It is also common sense to allow abortion in case of rape, incest or possible danger to the mother.
