Purdue, IU finalize deal to split IUPUI

PURDUE, IU FINALIZE DEAL TO SPLIT IUPUI
Mung Chiang, rarely missing a chance to tout the potential of getting a full-fledged campus in Indianapolis since he became Purdue president at the start of 2023, said Purdue would waste little time expanding enrollment and making the university more of a force in driving economic development once IUPUI is no more.
Purdue and Indiana University trustees met in Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon to finalize a deal started in summer 2022 that would end a partnership that had the two schools sharing a campus since 1970.
