POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE STIRS ALREADY HEATED WEST SIDE SCHOOL BOARD RACE
A political action committee that was a lightning rod in the West Lafayette school board election two years ago is back in play late in this year’s campaign, reconstituted under a new title, with two popular retired teachers’ names attached and with a similar goal – back school board incumbents.
Exactly how the newly named Citizens for Quality School Leadership will make its presence known in the final few days of a campaign wasn’t clear, other than campaign finance reports showed that it had committed $7,500 toward advertising, with more on hand, in a race featuring six candidates running for three at-large seats.
