Scenes of the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair
The Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair is the place to be this week. Based in Lafayette correspondent Vincent Walter hit the fairgrounds over the weekend for this gallery of photos.
Thanks to sponsor Stuart & Branigin for ongoing support of the Based in Lafayette reporting project.
BEFORE WE GET STARTED: Based in Lafayette is back after a one-week, scheduled shutdown. I used that time on Rainy Lake in Fort Frances, Ontario, to fish a tournament with my dad. (Please, don’t look up the official results.) Thanks for your patience while I was out. Or maybe you liked a break, too. I’ll catch up in the coming days on a few things from last week, while heading into plenty coming in the new week. Thanks, again, for subscribing. And thanks for reading.
So, let’s get rolling, again …
SCENES FROM THE TIPPECANOE COUNTY 4-H FAIR
With the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair in full swing, I had Lafayette photographer Vincent Walter head over to the fairgrounds during the opening days to capture some of the scenes at the county fairgrounds. Here’s some of what he came back with.
IF YOU GO: The Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair continues today the fairgrounds on Teal Road. For hours, ride information and show times, here’s a link to the fair schedule, running today through Saturday, July 29: tippe4hfair.org/2023/schedule/
Thanks, again, to Stuart & Branigin for sponsorship help with today’s edition.

Fabulous photos of the fair!
It has been something like 62 years now, but we spent a week of great fishing on a pontoon houseboat in Rainy Lake.
