SEND-OFF MONTH CONTINUES FOR MAYOR DENNIS WITH WELLNESS CENTER NAMING
Thursday night continued the love fest – righteous, by all accounts – surrounding John Dennis, as he heads into the final month of his 16-year career as West Lafayette’s mayor.
In early November, Dennis made the rounds to Lafayette’s City Council and the Tippecanoe County commissioners, using a few minutes at each stop to say thanks to elected officials he’d called partners during the past four terms and getting standing ovations in both locations.
On Thursday, Dennis said he’d save a close-to-home version of that for Monday’s West Lafayette City Council meeting – the final one of his career. But that didn’t stop the outpouring for and from the mayor during a community reception that was standing room only in the city council chambers at West Lafayette City Hall.
