A couple of notes on SK hynix developments …

Community meetings coming, company says: During a Nov. 3 West Lafayette City Council meeting – one that featured another round of residents basting council members and demanding they reverse course on a rezoning that allowed SK hynix’s $3.87 billion facility on its current site north of Kalberer Road – Mayor Erin Easter said the South Korean company was nearing the launch a website and community meetings to talk about the ongoing permitting process and other updates about the project.

“It’s a good opportunity for them to start talking about their project and what is and is not included,” Easter told BiL after the city council meeting.

So, where does that stand?

Company officials told BiL in a statement: “SK hynix is currently reviewing plans to build a dedicated project website. In addition, we are working in collaboration with the City of West Lafayette to share updates related to our project through the WLMoves website. Going forward, we plan to provide regular updates on safety, traffic, environmental matters and community engagement/contribution through various communication channels.”
