Special meeting called as LSC hustles on 4-day school week for Vinton Elementary

The Lafayette School Corp. school board will hold a special meeting Wednesday to consider converting Vinton Elementary’s schedule to a four-day week, as early as the 2024-25 academic year.
Thought to be on hold for a year, LSC officials told the school board Tuesday night that they believed they could work to make the switch – while giving families time to adjust, too – during the closing weeks of this school year and the summer, after the Indiana State Board of Education signed off on the concept on March 27.
“We think the momentum is there,” Clevenger told the school board.
