HERE’S THE SCULPTURE COMING FOR LAFAYETTE’S BICENTENNIAL

A sculpture designed with lighted elements and sweeping stainless steel lines people can walk through and around is expected to get a go-ahead Thursday as a centerpiece for Lafayette’s Bicentennial celebration in 2025.

“On the Banks of the Wabash,” by California-based Cliff Garten Studio, was the finalist chosen for a grassy plaza at the corner of Ninth and South streets.
