A few notes as summer lets us know it’s here …

TSC EYES LAND NEAR U.S. 231 FOR FUTURE USE: The Tippecanoe School Corp. board agreed Wednesday to have the district negotiate to buy roughly 40 acres for sale north of Teal Road, between U.S. 231 and Old Romney Road. TSC Superintendent Scott Hanback said the property – sitting between Romney Meadows and Overlook Pointe apartments – has been for sale for some time and that the resolution the school board agreed to allowed the district to do its due diligence.

“What we have is a school board that says we’re growing and buy land when you can, because they aren’t making any more of it,” Hanback said. “If you look at the Elston area, where this is, it’s growing just like other parts of TSC.”
