So Cass County GOP has censured Sen Todd Young for voting in favor of marriage equality. I for one, am surprised Young voted in favor of it, to begin with. My point is: the hate that some of my fellow Hoosiers hold, and instill in their children, against their own neighbors.
Congratulations to Purdue for the new coaching hire. My hope is that someone at Purdue or in the community will take the new coach aside and explain the facts of life here in Tippecanoe county. Indiana isn't Illinois and Greater Lafayette is not Champaign-Urbana. Indiana is the middle finger of the deep South. Coach Walter's children should be safe in city schools, but I hope someone tells him NOT to send his kids to county schools. I've heard too many horror stories of extreme racist behavior from both teachers and students at Harrison and McCutcheon. Harrison is particularly not a safe place for children of color. We need to be more open about the reality of racial relations in Tippecanoe County. Indiana had sundown towns and in places like Dayton, Brookston, and Battleground, nothing has changed. If you have more than one black friend in this town, you know I'm telling the truth as it exists in 2022.

Up until this very moment, I had never heard of anything Todd Young did that I liked. So now there is one thing.
Sadly, the Republican Party here in Indiana continues to hate.
