Cooper Alan, 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, Neon Cactus, 360 Brown St., West Lafayette — Winston-Salem, North Carolina, pop-country internet sensation Cooper Alan will make his West Lafayette debut when he blows into the Neon Cactus, which is becoming one of the top country music venues in Indiana. Alan is the owner of almost 1 billion streams on various digital music platforms. This year, the online success has translated to sold out shows across the country, and with Purdue University students back and looking for something to do, young Alan’s gig Thursday should be packed. $25 and $45. Tickets.
Feelin’ Groovy: The Songs of Simon & Garfunkel, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, Long Center for the Performing Arts, 111 N. Sixth St., Lafayette — The sound of the 1960s will echo through downtown Lafayette when veteran tribute artist Jim Witter dons his folk hat to present a set of Simon & Garfunkel tunes backed by a solid band and collaborator Ian Tanner. Perhaps you’ve seen Witter behind a piano in his 30 years of international touring when the Canadian musician presents a Billy Joel and/or Elton John tribute show. This weekend, he’ll be strumming an acoustic guitar while singing the soft, poetic tones of Paul Simon in such hits as “The Boxer,” “Scarborough Fair” and “Mrs. Robinson.” $39-$61. Tickets.
Mosey Down Main Street, 6-11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, downtown Lafayette — Summer’s last gasp doesn’t have to be a gasp at all. It can be a primal party scream at the last 2025 Mosey Down Main Street festival. For one more time this summer, 12 bands will perform among dozens of vendors, several food trucks and thousands of Mosiers flooding Main Street between Sixth and 11th streets. So eat, drink and Mosey on one more time this year. Here is the band schedule for Saturday:

Alexa’s Slumber Party Drag Show, 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, The Spot Tavern, 409 S. Fourth St., Lafayette — Wearing your pajamas in public is not just for Walmart anymore. Local drag queen Miss AlexaPro will host a dreamy drag “slumber party” with a PJ theme for fans and performers alike. AlexaPro will be joined by Magnus Cum Laudé, Eldra Arts, Calyko Magick-Waffle and Incarnate Art Form as well as first-time performers Whortney, Little White Liza, Stellacious, Lucid Noire and Gussy the Hussy. Be sure to stay for the 11 p.m. afterparty featuring DJ elfbar. $10.
The Operators, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, Teays River Brewing & Public House, 3000 S. Ninth St., Lafayette — Mostly Indianapolis ska band The Operators will make its south Lafayette debut with a skanktastic night holding down the patio at Teays River. The band is rock-steadily increasing its stock with excellent records and tours, so this rare weekday Lafayette gig is a treat. Plus, it’s a rare chance to see the eight-piece for free.
