Mr Bangert,

Thank you for shining a bright light on this subject and the forgotten name of one of Indiana’s most important female literary artists.

Her poem by the Hearth spoke straight to my soul and I’m grateful to learn a little more about this quiet legend of indiana history.

Perhaps an in kind donation?

As a mason I’m skilled in foundation construction. Is it possible the monument is in need of a proper mounting pedestal?

I suspect there are specifications that spell out the details to ensure the monument is securely located.

I am offering my service to prepare the mounting foundation at no cost and in accordance to the specifications called for in the Historical Marker design.

Please let me know if this would be of any service.

David, how kind of you. Currently, we have another local business donating services to install the marker, however perhaps the 2 of you could partner. How can I connect with you other than on this public platform?

Thank you for your hard work, Angie! I walk past that house with my dog every week and had no idea of its significance. I love learning about Lafayette's history, and I love to see previous generations of women finally recognized for their talent and accomplishments.
