It’s the only contested primary on local May 2 ballots: 4 Democrats – James Blanco, Iris O’Donnell Bellisario, David Sanders and Gerald Thomas – are up for 3 at-large spots on the WL City Council
I am supporting James Blanco in this primary. I remember when Jennifer Teising was terrorizing the Wabash Township Fire Department, and no one on West Lafayette Council spoke out against her except James Blanco. He did what was right even if it wasn't comfortable, and he's been making real pushes to address housing, inequality, and quality of life in West Lafayette. We need more James Blancos in politics, then maybe more would get done!
I love these Dave Q&A's . Alas, I don't live in WL, so I can't vote. I DO spend my working hours in WL, however. So I endorse the candidate most likely to demand better new construction architecture standards on the aesthetic level, the candidate most likely to demand that Purdue airport reduce its jet noise pollution by at least half, and the candidate most likely to actually make affordable WL low income housing increase. And that person is.....
