"Here’s a way into Alesia’s full report" - The new way of saying - Paywall ahead. :-)

I like to think the Jesse Watters of the world forget the power they have to really ruin someones work/life....but I doubt it. I think they like the power and they like being a bully this way.

Well, not always a paywall. (All the Indiana Capital Chronicle reports are free; most sites offer a few free pieces for starters.) But in this case, definitely worth the $1 trial price for Mark's work on that story.

People like Watters and Rokita are narcissistic psychopaths. They lack basic human empathy, they view other humans only as facilitators, obstacles, or means toward their own self-aggrandizement. This is why an organism like Rokita sees no philosophical inconsistency between claiming to be a conservative and using the power of government to harm those whom he doesn't like, sees no inconsistency between railing against elites while maintaining a multi-page list of instructions for his limo drivers. All that matters to Rokita is Rokita, a man who thinks the phrase "public servant" means the public should serve him.

Rokita promotes "parents' rights", but only the rights of right-wing, white parents. Not parents of color (to access a full version of history), and definitely not parents of transgender children.

The "new" Pete is meh, whatever. It's fine for t-shirts and stickers. I'm just glad the "real" Pete has stayed the same. I'm not sure the Purdue athletic department could write a scarier email subject than "A New Purdue Pete is Here!"
