Dear Councilman Thomas, you say you haven’t heard a complaint about people smoking within 8 ft of doorways, please consider this an official complaint from me.
This happens in a frequent basis in WL (and Lafayette, Indy, Ft Wayne, etc); particularly when it’s raining and the business has an awning.
I’m glad they are requiring 15FT, but I have a feeling that will do very little to help. WL should lead Indiana by banning smoking in city limits (allowances for inside a person’s residence) entirely. Or at least follow Purdues model and allow it is small designated areas in City limits.
The largest health crisis we have is smoking related disease and WL can lead the charge to help with this rule.

Ironically, the barn might end up being the most unique piece of architecture in that district.
